I’m a super last minute packer and I hate to check my bag because I feel like I’ll be that one person that doesn’t get it back. That’d definitely be me.
So, I usually bring a carry-on and it’s a literal nightmare – not for me, but for whoever is watching me – pack. Ultimately, the products I bring have to work well on my skin & hair. Airplanes make my skin dry and my hair is prone to dryness anyway. So I stick to anything moisturizing and mainly natural, usually derived of oil or salt, but not sticky or too dewy.
Here are some of my favorite travel size goodies I packed for my trip to Tulum:
For my hair, I love Ouai’s Wave Spray. My hair naturally curls from the salt water and the wind off the shore so I like to amplify the beachy waves with a quick spritz of this spray.
Since I’m going for the big-hair look, I tend to use volumizing shampoos and conditioners, and I happen to love Rahua products for their earthy smell and silky feel.
If I get a good healthy glow, I’m less concerned with caking on the makeup, especially while I’m soaking up the rays. But if I’m using little to no makeup, that means I need good skincare. That’s why I love Tarte’s Maracuja Oil. The vegan serum gives my skin a nice radiant glow without leaving it greasy.
After flying, my skin gets super dry, so I love Farmacy’s skin salve because it repairs dry or chapped skin naturally and I <3 anything honey (which is also antimicrobial.)
